Hailing from Southern Vermont, Steve Bovey hit the scene as a guitarist and backing vocalist for a local rock act DBLDN for almost a decade before stepping away from the band to pursue the singer/songwriter path. After a push from the people around him, Steve created his solo project Bove and released an album of demos, aptly titled "Demo" in March 2022 kicked off by a lead single "Summer Ain't The Same". Driven by an immediate uptick in viewers on YouTube, Bove went straight to work on recording his debut full length. Bonfire Ballads was released on New Year's Day 2023 to local acclaim. Created in true DIY fashion, Bove wrote, recorded, and mixed from his home studio Laboratory 121.
